Why?

Why?

Man oh Man this is the question that no one ever wants to ask. The next three why questions are the most frequently asked of all.

Why this?

Why me?

Why now?

As usual I am writing from my own experiences and writing to help you all through the particular situations you may be facing. I have asked all of these questions to God and well as close friends and family in many different seasons in my life. In many situations I never knew why at all and in other situations the answers came in time. This is just that unexplainable part of this walk of life that we all must endure. The why’s will always be there because there will always be a situation or two that will come to challenge you. The why’s will come to make or break you The why’s will come to either build your character, or reveal your true character. As I mentioned I normally write out of my own particular life experiences and this is another one of those seasons where my character is being built. If you are like me you try to be the good person and do the right things in this life. I have been raised to be not only a man of character but a man of faith and boy does this come with a price.  To do good in life is harder than doing bad. To make the right decisions is harder than to make wrong ones. This is a daily dilemma that I face personally and I know those of you reading do as well. Just because I am a man of faith does not mean that I am not human or a man that has issues to face on a day to day basis. So remember that” Why” is a very normal part of this life but what you do with the situations that bring this question is the determining factor of whether or not you gain victory out of this challenge.

My encouragement for you when asking the question why in this life is as follows…

First off remember that everyone faces hard times that we must face and somehow overcome.

We will have our integrity, character, motives, faith, morals, and every other aspect of ourlives questioned as long as we stand for something in this life it just happens.

Remember that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

Remember that it is okay to ask why in this life because sometimes we realy don’t understand the craziness of our situations at times. I say this because I was raised in an era where it was a sin to ask god why, and this simply is nonsense.

Remember to never make a permanent decision in a situation that is temporary. I say this because many lives have been changed for the worst because of this type of irrational, spontaneous, and sporadic behavior.   Always be willing and able to stop, evaluate your particular situation and make a sound decision.

As a general rule always keep someone around you that has more experience in life than you, whether it is a parent, pastor, counselor, or even someone you trust or look up to like a teacher or coach.  You will never negate using wisdom as an option in making a sound decision.

When the questions come up and they will instead of playing the victim how about you turn those questions around to motivate yourself into realizing that you may be better prepared then you think you are.

So instead of why me? How about why not me?

Instead of why this? Ask why not this?

Instead of why now? How about asking why not now?

It is so easy to take the path of least resistance but why take that path. It is a sign of weakness to avoid some very real things in life that we must confront. The person who says that they are not confrontational is weak and not willing to challenge themselves or the situations they face.  Although this may seem like a very harsh and judgmental statement I have experienced it firsthand. The person who said to me that they are not confrontational was the same people who did not have my back in very important matters of life.  Unfortunately this has happened more than once in my life. I have heard it said “when people show you who they are believe them!” this is such a true statement and the reason why I said earlier to turn the situations you face around for your good. You are much stronger than youmay think.  So be very leery of these types of people and remember that you are what you hang around.

So why ask why?  Remember for the rest of your lives that it is not asking the question, but how you ask the question why that counts.

Have a great day!
