Truth vs. fact
In this very complex world we are daily faced with information. In most cases we have to decipher truth from fact. As a man of faith I believe that the word of God is truth. I have been told many facts over the years and for the most part facts are facts. I was told by doctors that I would be totally blind by age 16 and this was the fact in 1979. However, in 1983 the truth was that I sustained my vision. Many people live their lives according to factual data and rely on its accuracy. For those of you who have been disappointed by the facts you have been given or seen some one given that they believd and did not move forward I challenge you to live by truth. I challenge you to not reject the truth. Finally I challenge you to receive truth.
Some facts;
A diagnosis of some sort, a loved one who is in failing health, a bad life experience, a disability, a childhood with no parents, and many other facts to support why some one’s life is the way that it is.
The truth: Isaiah 53:3-5, Matthew 8:17, and 1Peter 2:24 the answer to any diagnosis. Psalms 91 the answer to any issues in this life, Isaiah 26:3 and Philippians 4:7 the answer to any unrest.
This is the difference between fats and truth. We must learn to live by truth and what is the truth so that when facts come we aren’t moved by them because the truth is in us.
Be encouraged because this world will inundate us with facts that try todDictate how we will be for the rest of our lives. Remember that there is truth in God and as lon as you are in them you are covered and cannot be easily moved by facts that come to destroy your ability to believe in this life.
There is only one constant in this very fast paced world and that is God. If you don’t know Him I encourage you to do so.
Have a great day! D
