Tis the day before Christmas!

12/24/2017 16:34

Tis the day before Christmas (2017), and all around the world, it is business as usual for every man, woman, boy, and girl. It is the day before Christmas, and everywhere in the US, is a feeling of discontent, and sense of unrest.  We hurry quickly to by presents, to find temporary escape, and mental absence. We are ready to party, hang out with family not caring what the cost, when the real reality is that the true meaning of this time of year continues to be completely lost.

We have evolved from celebrating Christ birthday, many gifts presented, wise men all over the world being astounded by the miracle birth, to a materialistic, paganist driven, time of the year that has truly lost its worth. From the baby in the manger to a blue Santa turned red by Coca-Cola, commercialism, supply and demand, and who has been knotty or nice has become the mantra.

So, on this day before Christmas in this very real time how many of us are truly seeking the only answer for mankind? Christ has not only been lost in this holiday, but has long been misrepresented as a whole, and I wonder from day to day will He be broken from this religious mold.

It is the day before Christmas, when all around this country we are filled with disunities from government to houses of worship and many of our divided communities. There is a racial divide as big as the country itself, and a strong hold of hate driven by fear, privilege and wealth. We seemed to have been put into a trance of some kind, and like we have always done as a country we pretend to have closure, when the reality is we have gone back in time.

Tis the day before Christmas and all through our land; we lack morals, courage, and true love for our fellow man. The 1% stay wealthy while the poor are dealt a bad hand, but this is what happens when you don’t separate church and state, while also making a strong stand.

This is the day before Christmas 2017, and all around this country is homelessness, poverty, and economical inadequacies. Not only has the message of the true meaning of given been decimated, but just like our country the word holi at one time was purely celebrated. Yes, the Holi in holiday meant holy at one point and time, but in today’s standards it means nothing as a whole to mankind.

We used to quote scripture that prophesied peace on earth and goodwill to all men, but Christ has been lost in Christmas so, this leaves us empty within. We are celebrating gifts instead of the giver of the ultimate gift. We are not following the miracle child’s plight as he lived on this earth, because we have chosen religion over relationship and all that it’s worth.

If the true meaning of Christmas is Christ why don’t we see it exhibited through so called believer’s lives? If Christ is the meaning for the holiday season why is there so much evil, animosity, anger, deceit, and manipulation all manifested at times for no reason? If this is the way we should be celebrating this time tomorrow I’ll take a pass, I’d rather make a difference in this world daily instead of putting on a show at the end of the year hijacking what should be Christs’ celebratory time wearing a mask.

Tis the day before Christmas, and I’m sure this is not what you expected in this blog at all. However, it is my desire to spread the truth with love because it is   part of my call. I can bring good tidings to all who read and for all your family members too, because good comes from God, and ultimately this is my message to you.

Tis the night before Christmas and here is my challenge for all who read; live your life filled with truth and love over-flowing to others as a basic need. Make giving a lifestyle not just something you do once a season, this is how you thank God and truly allow Christ to be the reason for the holiday season. No more materialism, no more lies about Santa clause, no more immorality, and selfishness no more racial walls. No more inequality, no more people dying without healthcare. Just a selfless country filled with individuals who   care about others welfare.

Let’s start by telling the truth about everything we see today, and stop the illusions that if we don’t talk about our problems that they all will just go away. Let’s raise our standards high not just allowing anything to be our new norm, let’s hold others accountable, progress our world, and show them this is real life and not a way to perform. Let’s call a lie a lie, and tell the truth in love. Let’s look forward to the future not take the country back to the way it once was.

Now that the challenge is clear and we all know what to do, I call on my city, state country, school officials, our government, churches, and gate keepers with this task to follow through. Let’s put our money where our mouths are, and bring our country back together again. Let’s not be afraid to stand up to evil, and sharing one another’s burden’s so, that we all win.

I now summons all who read to get up and make this happen right away, not putting off for tomorrow what we all can change today.  Now, getting back to the original reason for this Christmas blog don’t think I’ve forgotten the reason.  Because I live my life daily as a believer I am not lost during this season.  I just wanted to go away from the normal of thinking of festivities over facts, and present an opportunity to bring Christ in Christmas back. Not the Christ everyone claims to be living for in 2017, but the one who died for our sins and can truly be seen. Seen in the lives of individuals who really love god and are willing to die for His cause. That believer who daily lays his life down for his fellow mankind, obeying the only commandment in the New Testament; “Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, and mind!”  Quickly followed by the challenge to love your neighbor as yourself, can you only imagine what life would look like if we loved everyone as we do our own flesh?

Tis the day before Christmas and this is my Christmas wish for all of you.  Now, the challenge is out there what will you decide to do?

HAVE A VERY MEREY CHRISTMAS!
