No I’m not ashamed!
So in the book of Romans the first chapter and the 16th verse it says “for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” What this simply means is that we as people of God should never be ashamed of who we serve and what we stand for. In this very convoluted time in our world and this very confusing time with all that is going on politically it is very vital that we as God’s people remain faithful and bold about what and who we stand for!
I wanted to encourage all who are believers in God to make sure that you never forget why you made a decision and choice to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. We are so needed in this lost world. There is a major need for people who are confident in who they are to say to the whole world that they have the answer to all life’s very painful, crazy, fearful, unpredictable, lawless, and desolate times. More and more each day I’m convinced that we need to be what God has called us to be and that is a bold, proud, encouraging, and diligent example of Christ on this earth. We are an anomaly these days and we need to get back to what we are called to do.
I must warn you that a life of boldness for Christ does not come without a price, but nothing in life that is worth fighting for does. The word of God clearly says “if God is for us then who can be against us?” for those who might be a little taken back by this statement remember we win every time and all the time. So don’t be afraid to be about our fathers business! Now for those of you who feel like it’s easier to hide and just mix in to the crowd remember that there will come a day when God will require your complete commitment no questions asked! Additionally to those who know to do right but you choose not to do it remember James 4:17 speaks directly to that. For those who are living what the bible calls a lukewarm life remember that people are always looking at our lives and they will watch way before they ever listen. To the one who tries to justify how foul you are living and are not true to yourself remember that God sees all that we do! Finally to those who will not speak the very real truth of racism, inequality, division, greed, sexual perversion, abuse of power, and hypocrites in the church you are wrong to and really can’t help anyone who is being led to the church. This must be dealt with ASAP!
We are so disparately needed to help the ones in our lives who are lost and truly don’t know the true and living God. So when I bring up all these different ways that people may be living I am not casting judgement in a condescending manner but encouraging us to get it together. We are the body of Christ and when I speak about issues in the body I am speaking about me as one who is a part of the body.
We cannot be afraid to be the examples God wants us to be in this world. We must make the choice to live right and deal with any issues that disqualify us from being that example this world needs. By no means am I asking anyone to be perfect because only one person walked this world perfect. However, I am asking us to step up to the plate, seek God and god alone, don’t try to please man over God, keep a heart of repentance, be transparent before God and be bold enough to say yes to Gods will , plan, and purpose for your life.
This is coming from a heart that sees all that we are experiencing in our world today and also out of a desperate desire to see Gods glory revealed on this earth.
To anyone reading this blog just know I am praying for you and hope that to whomever this blog has helped you will shoot for greatness and your own particular destiny in this life. I know that this won’t reach everyone who reads but for those that it does I am so excited to see what God can and will do through those who are willing vessels.
