New Beginnings
At the start of each year we tend to set these outrageous goals that we will never meet. Goals like; weight loss, new job, new attitude, save money, don’t spend as much money carelessly, more discipline, more planning, more education, more studying the bible, more church, and many more. All these are good things to try and accomplish, however many of us fail miserably. We need to make life changes not temporary unrealistic goals. I encourage you to make goals that you can obtain. Choose to bite off a little bit at a time. It is a very well known statistic that a habit is created or broken after 21 times done. So think of it this way. If I can say no or stop doing something 21 times after it presents itself then the battle is won. From a spiritual perspective if there are things that you cannot shake on your own; you can always ask the Holy Spirit to help you in the battle. There are some things that just can’t be dealt with from a physical perspective. Some things the bible says only leave by prayer and fasting Mark 9:22.
Now to some this may seem to deep and I understand if you think this way. However this is a very real part of our lives as humans. We are spiritual beings having a physical experience. So when you look at life from a spiritual and physical perspective then you get a greater understanding of how you can tackle some of these bad habits, or generational benefits. In most instances we call them generational curses. This all can help when trying to overcome some very real issues in life. I as a minister don’t look at things from strict spiritual perspectives I think it is too one sided to do so. Instead I look at things from a mental, spiritual, and physical point of view. This has helped in the deliverance and success of many people. So this year when making promises and goals remember that you can be successful if you do the following;
- Make realistic goals.
- Look at them from all perspectives (spiritual, mental, and physical).
- Be willing to change.
- To go somewhere you have never gone, you must do something you’ve never done.
- Be disciplined.
- Be proactive.
- Have someone to hold you accountable.
- Remain focused on the goals.
- Be positive in your thoughts, speech, and actions.
- Complete what you start!
God bless you all,
D
