This one’s for the Mothers!
This goes out to all the moms out there; who have done what they have to be the best that they could be for their children.
This is for the mother who is selfless in her actions towards her children.
This is for the mother who chooses her kids over anyone or anything else first.
This is for that mother who sacrifices on a daily basis so that her kids are taken care of.
This is for that mother who cares for her kids emotionally, physically and spiritually.
This is for that mother who knows she’s not perfect but still gives her all for her children.
This is for the ones who call their mothers mama; to the one we call mama thank you for putting it down when no one else could or would.
Thank you for being the constant when daddy wasn’t or couldn’t be.
Thank you for letting us know that the struggle is real but still put it down and made home a place we could be comfortable in.
Thank you for being stern when needed but loving us unconditionally even to your detriment.
Thank you for being our #1 cheerleader in everything we have done; sports, school programs, plays, etc., our hopes, dreams, ideas (no matter how crazy), foals, college, careers, our own families, and even your grandchildren.
Thank you to the mama who had to endure your kids going in and out of jail, drugs, and many other systemic issues that lye in the inner cities of this country.
Thank you to the mams who put it down for other people’s kids that may not have been your won but loving them just as much.
Thank you for the protection you provided when it was needed and always the refuge we needed.
Thank you for telling the truth, living the truth, and always loving us no matter what.
Mama thank you for praying for me, for showing me God, introducing me to God and for keeping me before God.
To the ones we call grandmamma, Nunu, Granny, mamaw, Tete, and so many more thank you for being the ones who not only produces life but continues life through your constant commitment to your children.
