Encouragement 2016
Every year I take the time to encourage my readers for the New Year. I wanted to start off by saying that very soon we will be ending 2015 and entering a new year. A new year filled with new opportunities, ideas, moves, and goals to be met. I would encourage all who read to look at what happened in 2015 weather good or bad and make the necessary changes to ensure that you obtain the success needed in 2016. For some this year presented challenges that you were able to overcome. For some it wasn’t a good year at all. For some death visited and has left you empty and asking questions. Also for some it was a reminder of someone who passed on and it was the anniversary of that loss. For some it was a reminder of all the past failures. For some it was an opportunity to start new and began a different season in your lives (i.e. graduation, marriage, children, grad school, new job or career, etc.). For some it was a year to reflect on what got you to the place that you are currently in both good and bad.
I really feel that this year will be a year to make up for things that were not done correctly in many ways. I feel like this year will be a year to move forward in life as it presents new challenges. I feel that this year will continue to bring out the true motives and character of those who have tried to hide who and what they really are. I feel like this year will be a year for those of us who walk in integrity and character to stand in what we truly believe. I feel like this will be the year for those who don’t make strong stands to be revealed to those of us who do and will. I feel like this year will be a year of truth and revelation coming forward like never before. Insight from God like never before will be revealed to the most unlikely people. I feel like the hearts of the fathers will be turned back to the sons both God our father and his children and even a lost generation who is running around fatherless. I feel like this year will continue to reveal and unveil the corrupt hearts of men and that God is calling on those who claim to be righteous to walk, stand, and live as righteous people. I also feel like this year will be a year that God is going to call out people in places and positions that they are not being responsible in. I also feel like god is going to elevate some to the next level of their calls. Many who have not been responsible in their positions will be challenged to do so or those who are obedient will began to move into these places.
I feel like in a way of warning that God is calling on those of us who know better to do better. As we continue to see the discord and disunity in our country and even the world I feel like God is going to solidify those who walk in truth and separate us from those who are walking in deception. I feel like God is going to open up new, fresh, and unique opportunities to reach those who are lost and discouraged. I feel like the old way of doing thigs even by the church is going to be done away with and those who are willing to move with God will see major results in reaching those who are desperately in need of knowing who a true and living God is. I feel like the time for being religious is over but walking in true relationship with God is paramount!
I want to encourage anyone who may be at a cross road in life to listen to your heart and move forward into the direction that your heart is pulling you towards. Expect the impossible this year it’s okay to do so. I feel like old dreams and missed opportunities will revisit some of you who read so when you walk back into some missed opportunities remember these words. It is as if God is going to allow do overs for some who read. Additionally remember to be one who leads by example. Be the change our world truly needs and let love proceed all of your actions as we are experiencing a huge lack of love in our world today. Walk in the way of peace and don’t miss an opportunity to help out someone in need. We have to get back to helping out our fellow man. I challenge the church to stand up and stop hiding, to address the issues that go beyond the church walls, and to realize that we are the examples of righteousness that need to be seen by this world. History has shown us that those who stood for righteousness typically were those church leaders and we should not be afraid to be those leaders.
Finally when it comes to race relations and diversity in our world I feel it very necessary to encourage all who read to walk in complete truth. Seek out what is true and don’t be afraid of what you will see as the truth will set you free! It is pivotal that we move forward as a nation but we cannot do so without looking at where we have come from. The real reality is that if we don’t know how we got to where we are we will never be able to successfully reach our destiny as a whole. United we stand, divided we fall is what I use to hear but truly see us being divided and eventually the fall is inevitable. Don’t buy into divisive tactics by leaders, be the change our world needs. Last but certainly not least pray for our leaders and those in positions of influence that they will lead with integrity, character and obedient to God.
Let 2016 be your year to obtain all that you set your mind and heart to obtain.
