Don’t get caught slippin’!

One of the craziest things that can happen to anyone is to get caught off guard. If a prize fighter was to get caught off guard he could be knocked out; many of us have seent his happen time and time again. In life we can get so busy or off focus that things tend to sneak up on us. When I say don’t get caught slippin’ I mean you should always be paying attention. Especially for those who are diligent in doing the work of the Lord. We must be intently paying attention at all times. The bible is clear when it says that the devil is out seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). He is constantly looking for ways to catch us off guard. We must remain focused at all times. I have recently gotten caught off guard ant it has made me even more aware of what I am saying yes and no to. What was very simple, routine, or even potentially harmless put me in the hospital. We must not get put into a position to be down for any reason. When we are down the work that god has for us is not being done. I encourage all who read this blog to pay very close attention to what you are doing at all times. What may appear harmless may very well be a set up. Now let me express that I am not saying or suggesting that we began to walk in fear by no means (2 Timothy 1:7). What I am saying is that in everything we do please seek Gods peace in making that decision (Matthew 6:33). The bible says that we are to be wise as serpents yet harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). The key is wise thoughts and actions. So as we approach a new year make sure that you are not caught off guard for any reason. This year and from now on be very aware of your surroundings. Don’t let life take you by surprise. For those of you reading who don’t know the Lord as your personal Savior I encourage you to choose Him as Lord for His spirit to lead and guide you. We are all created after His image and likeness so we all can hear Him (Genesis 1:26) but in right relationship we seek Him in every situation and decision. In the book of John the 14th chapter explains to us the purpose of the Holy Spirit in our lives. One of its purposes is to lead us. So in closing remain on top of your game and don’t let life get so busy that you are caught off guard. If you are aware and attentive you will have the greatest amount of success.

God bless you all.
